What we collect when you book a table or send us a message, why we hold it, and how to get it removed.

Who we are

Gulz Deli Cafe is the data controller for the personal information described here. We are at 4-6 Brown Street, Stockport SK1 1RS. You can reach us on +44 7789 449692 or at info@gulzdelicafe.co.uk.

When you book a table

The booking form asks for your name and phone number, and optionally your email address, along with the date, time, number of people and anything you tell us in the notes field. We use it to hold the table, to recognise you when you arrive, and to contact you if something changes.

The lawful basis is that the booking is a step taken at your request before we serve you, and our legitimate interest in running the cafe. We keep bookings for twelve months so we can settle any question about a visit, then delete them.

When you send us a message

The contact form asks for your name, email address, subject and message, and optionally your phone number. We use it only to answer you. We keep enquiries for twelve months, then delete them.

Spam protection

Both forms use Google reCAPTCHA to tell people from automated submissions. Google receives your IP address and information about how you interacted with the page, and processes it under its own privacy policy. Without this the forms would fill with automated rubbish and real messages would be missed.

Reviews and maps

The reviews shown on this site come from our Google listing. We ask Google for them from our server, so your visit is not reported to Google by that. The reviewers’ profile photographs are loaded from Google’s servers, and the map on the contact page is embedded from Google Maps, so Google can see your IP address when those load.

Cookies

We set no advertising or analytics cookies, and there is no tracking on this site. Your browser stores your light or dark preference locally; that never leaves your device and we cannot read it. Google reCAPTCHA and the embedded map may set their own cookies when they load.

Who else sees your information

Nobody buys it and we do not sell it. Bookings and enquiries are visible to our staff and are held by the companies that host this site and its database. Where we send a booking confirmation or an alert by email or WhatsApp, the provider handling that message sees it. Some of these providers operate outside the UK, in which case the transfer relies on the UK safeguards their contracts provide.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict what we do with it, to object to us holding it, or to have it sent to you in a portable form. Ask us and we will act within one month.

Write to info@gulzdelicafe.co.uk or ring +44 7789 449692. If you are not satisfied with how we answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Automated decisions

We make no automated decisions about you and we do not profile you.
